Account and personal data deletion

Instructions for deleting data processed by the InTheCity platform, including data obtained through Facebook, Google or Apple login.

Option 1 — delete directly in the app (recommended)

  1. Sign in to your account at www.inthecity.app or in the InTheCity mobile app.
  2. Go to My profileAccount (/admin/profile).
  3. At the bottom of the page, click the "Delete account" button.
  4. Confirm deletion in the dialog window.

After confirmation, your account and all related personal data will be deleted within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when the process is complete. Data we are legally required to retain (e.g. accounting documents) will be kept for the period required by law and then deleted.

Option 2 — request by email

If you cannot delete your account directly in the app, send us an email to:

inthecity@inthecity.app

In the message, include:

  • the email address you registered with,
  • your registration method (email / Facebook / Google / Apple),
  • a statement requesting deletion of your account and all personal data.

We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

What data will be deleted

  • identification and contact data (name, email, phone, address),
  • profile photo,
  • your offers, reviews, chat messages,
  • saved searches, favorite offers, followed offers,
  • data obtained from Facebook / Google / Apple login,
  • reservation history (except data required for accounting).

What will not be deleted

We are legally required to retain certain data:

  • accounting and tax documents — retained for 10 years,
  • data needed for legal claims — until the limitation period expires,
  • anonymized statistics about platform usage.

Additional rights under GDPR

You have the right to receive a copy of your personal data in a structured format (right to data portability, Art. 20 GDPR). Send your request by email to inthecity@inthecity.app.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Disconnecting Facebook login

If you only want to disconnect your Facebook account from InTheCity without deleting your account on the Platform, do so in your Facebook settings:

  1. Open Facebook → Settings & PrivacySettings.
  2. Go to Apps and Websites.
  3. Find InTheCity and click Remove.

This will disconnect Facebook, but your InTheCity account will remain active.

Disconnecting Google login

If you only want to disconnect your Google account from InTheCity without deleting your account on the Platform, follow these steps:

  1. Go to myaccount.google.com , sign in and navigate to SecurityThird-party apps & servicesSee all connections.
  2. Click on InTheCity.
  3. Click Delete all connections with this app and confirm.

This will disconnect Google, but your InTheCity account will remain active.

Disconnecting Apple login

If you only want to disconnect your Apple ID from InTheCity without deleting your account on the Platform, you have two options:

  • On iPhone/iPad: Settings → [your name] → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID → InTheCityDelete → follow the onscreen steps.
  • Via web: Go to account.apple.com Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → InTheCity → stop using.

This will disconnect your Apple ID, but your InTheCity account will remain active.
